J.J. Cale has made a major impact on American music with his distinctive style of songwriting and performing that has influenced scores of artists like Johnny Cash, Bryan Ferry and Santana and delighted millions of his fans. His laid-back guitar picking and subtle vocals adapt well to whatever style he performs, from Rock to Blues to Country and Jazz. This set of 14 previously unreleased songs are vintage recordings from his tenure at both Shelter and Mercury Records in the 1970's and early 1980's. They were recorded around the time Eric Clapton brought Cale's sound to the masses with his hits 'Cocaine' and 'After Midnight', both Cale compositions.
